Kerby Jackson is an author living in Oregon's Rogue River Valley, an area where Zane Grey and Jack London often came to write their own novels. He is a 9th generation Oregonian (his ancestors have lived in Oregon since before Lewis & Clark made their journey to the Pacific). He writes western fiction, Old West non-fiction and screenplays, mainly tales set in the old days of the Pacific Northwest. At the moment, he is currently working on a novel entitled "The Troubled Land" which is a Western set in the Owyhee Country (the border area shared by Oregon, Idaho and Nevada). He is a compulsive student of history, particularly that of the Pacific Northwest, which shows in the historical accuracy of his work.
